"a bass feature, written by Django, called Minor Swing..."
Bill Wyman invited Robin Nolan to guest with the Rhythm Kings on February 1 at the Philharmonie in Haarlem, in The Netherlands – watch this fantastic full-length video of the performance of a bass feature, written by Django, called 'Minor Swing'.
The group played Django Reinhardt's gypsy jazz classic Minor Swing in the first half, and Hit The Road Jack in the second set – along with a blues piece to finish.
The band features Albert Lee, Georgie Fame, Beverly Skeete, Terry Taylor, Geraint Watkins, Graham Broad, Nick Payne and Frank Mead.
Read the biographies of the Rhythm Kings.
It was obvious that Robin, Bill and the band had a blast that night – and you can read more about the concert on Bill's blog.
