Lead vocalist Beverley Skeete began her professional career recording and releasing singles for a small label called Elite Records. Her soulful voice created a stir at the time, and DJ's including Tony Blackburn and Robbie Vincent supported her and played her records building her a reputation as a singer to be reckoned with and a die hard following.

This reputation for excellence would later lead Beverley Skeete to working with artists that included Elton John, Sting, Chaka Khan, The Eurythmics, Annie Lennox, Dave Gilmour, Buddy Guy and many more. Most recently Beverley Skeete has been working with Tom Jones.

Since joining the Rhythm Kings in 1997, Beverley Skeete has gained a new following of fans who love her on stage passion and persona. Beverley Skeete's latest album released in 2008 is entitled Unchained, it contains 14 songs treated in Beverley Skeete's own unique way. It includes versions of Born Under A Bad Sign, Run Through The Jungle, Unchain My Heart and Heart Of Gold.
