Bill spent Friday morning working on his photo archive, before Mick Hucknell arrived at noon and both Mick and Bill headed by car to the Sir Bobby Robson Lunch held at the Royal Lancaster Hotel.

Bill says the lunch, afternoon and evening were really enjoyable.  When he arrived, Bill joined everyone for drinks and chatted to football managers including Sir Alex Ferguson, Laurie McNename, and Peter Reid who Bill says goes to Rhythm Kings concerts and welcomed him as an old friend. Bill also chatted to compere Bob ‘The Cat’ Bevan.

Later, Bill and Mick took their seats and were on the top table with Sir Alex Ferguson, Harry Rednapp and others and Bill said the conversation was great. Bill even got autographs of Sir Alex and Harry. Bill says that the evening was full of amusing stories as everyone paid their respects to Sir Bobby Robson.

The following day – Saturday – saw Bill pack to travel to Gedding, leaving in the morning and arriving to set up his new Macbook Pro, and also set-up his older Powerbook. Bill also took time to go through all the correspondence that was waiting for him.

Sunday, and the day saw Bill up and out walking the grounds, surrounded by nature. Bill was carrying his camera, and took photos, spotting baby mallards and a grey heron on the moat. Back at the house, Bill watched the ICC live cricket World Cup Twenty20 final in TV, which saw England cruise to a seven wicket victory.

Monday, May 17, and the global release of the Rolling Stones album Exile On Main St. Bill spent the day taking nature photos, seeing a large woodpecker across the moat as he was making tea, then young Canada geese beside the moat grazing on grass.

On Tuesday, Bill headed back to London, arriving at noon and spending time downloading photos from the past few days, as well as catching up on email and sending email to friends and business people. In the evening, Bill had friends over with an evening spent deep in conversation, before calling it a night.
