On Friday, Bill noted that not only was it cold in London (around freezing), but that the Scottish Highlands had recorded a low of -28c. Wisely, Bill spent the morning at home working on his diary, stopping to chat to Mick Hucknell on the phone about performing at the Amsterdam show at the Paradiso.

Bill emailed Mick the details and sorted out the logistics, with a further chat sorting out some of the finer details – Bill then wrapped up the early discussions by emailing over a list of potential songs.

From Saturday 9, 2010 to Wednesday 13 Bill spent time working on his business matters, emailing friends and working on projects. It snowed fairly heavily, setting a chilly scene for Thursday, January 14, when Bill got up early to finish his packing before heading to St Pancras Station in central London, boarding the Eurostar train to Brussels. Bill says that the journey was uneventful, boarding a train in Brussels to Amsterdam, and then travelling by taxi to the hotel. After settling in, Bill joined Tony and some of the band members for a light dinner, before calling it a night.
