Wednesday 14th January 2009
With the Rhythm Kings rehearsals in full flight, Bill for up early on Wednesday, January 7 to crack on with business and projects work from the off.

Rehearsals were running from 12 noon to the evening for the Battersea concert on January 9, and Bill headed to the Ritz Studios in Putney in the early afternoon. He spent the afternoon listening to the music and says that the band sounded on top form.

After picking up his daughter from school, Bill headed home catching the first leg of the live Carling Cup semi-final on TV between Derby and Man United, with a surprising 1-0 win to Derby. Throughout the evening, Bill continued burning the candle at both ends, working on projects and business matters until the early hours.

And that didn’t stop Bill getting up slightly before it was officially dawn, updating his diary and plunging into more business work. Bill’s computer had also been on the blink, but a computer guy arrived and sorted it, much to Bill’s relief.

Again, the afternoon was given over to rehearsals. Bill arrived and chatted with the band about the concert, with Lulu having popped in earlier.

During the afternoon, both Robin Gibb and Melanie C were there rehearsing, then Beverley Knight arrived, followed by Russian pop queen Valeriya, Mark King of Level 42 fame, and Natasha Hamilton. Bill took loads of photos, and chatted to the musical stars during the rehearsals.

In the evening, Bill headed home to work on his photos, while catching a few tracks on iTunes throughout the evening.
