Bill was straight into business and projects on Wednesday, May 21, with a morning meeting outlining some of the plans for a show with the Rhythm Kings in Monaco in August. Bill put in a call to Eric Clapton to see if he'd be willing to perform a couple of songs on the show with the Rhythm Kings, but unfortunately Eric can't make the gig.

In the afternoon, Bill looked over the edited film from the Rhythm Kings' recent gigs for the Moods Club back in March, and he reckoned that the video had turned out pretty good. In the evening, Bill and Suzanne invited Corice Arman (the late Arman's widow) over for dinner, with conversation turning to Arman's art and work.

Thursday, and Bill sorted out details with a new agent to represent his future work, and bumped into Twiggy and Leigh Lawson near Covent Gardens. In the evening, Bill and Suzanne headed out to the private viewing of an exhibition of Bill's photographer friend Ethan Russell at the Proud Central Gallery in London. Bill says the place was packed for the exhibition, titled Let It Bleed - and he looked over some great photos of the Stones from 1969 to 1972.

The next day, and Bill spent time working on plans for more projects, and also gave Phil Collins a call to see if he'd like to get involved in a gig in August - with the day fairly much repeated on Saturday, when Bill got a request from Gary Brooker to join the Rhythm Kings on stage for a concert in France in July.

On Sunday, Bill left London and travelled to Gedding - with him facing lengthy delays from three roadworks - "only one of which was actually being worked on," he says, dryly.

Bill had also been following the cricket all week - and Sunday's play saw Bill following the team's progress against New Zealand, with Bill commenting on the amazing bowling by Panasar to pull England back into the runnings.
